Learning Through Song

Music is a great way to spark connection and support communication! This blog will teach you two songs to make teeth brushing and transitions easier!

Imagine your child waiting patiently and transitioning smoothly. Imagine your child learning to share and build friendships. Imagine your child brushing teeth for the full two minutes.

Music is one of many tools I use to help you and your child connect, communicate, and learn with confidence. My students have learned how to take turns, clean up and transition between activities, brush teeth through music!

For children who struggle to process language, using music to sing directions, stories, and concepts can spark engagement, communication, problem-solving, and so many more skills. Your child CAN do so much! And YOU can support their development, learning, and confidence with music, play, and more!

Brushing teeth does not have to be a tedious routine! You can transform brushing teeth into a fun and engaging language lesson and dance party! Listen and learn with the “Brush Your Teeth” song!

Transitions can be challenging, and build on strengths can help! This “Wait on the Wall” song built upon a little learner’s strengths with music and rhythm to support him during challenging transitions. The whole class joined in to make a symphony drumming, guitar, piano, harp, and flute on the wall!
