Children are not color blind, and we cannot be silent. The world is on fire, and injustice is illuminated. How are you making sense of all that is happening and all that needs to happen? Where are you on your learning journey?

“Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better” taught Dr. Maya Angelou. I accept responsibility for knowing and doing better, and I invite you to share in the learning journey.

Our children are seeing images, hearing language, and processing feelings, and they need role models to guide them. I have created a resource guide with articles, podcasts, story times, and book recommendations for proactively teaching about race, racism, and anti-racism. This week and into the future I will be highlighting some of these resources in my newsletter and on social media. Please let me know what you find helpful!
